Homecoming Biennial Exhibition and professional development weekend is occurring this year throughout RIT facilities. The exhibition with 131 recent graduates from across the globe will take place at the RIT City Art Space, with an opening reception on December 8th from 5-8 pm. The exhibition includes the work of twenty-one graduates from the School of Photographic Arts & Sciences from 2022 & 2023. On Saturday and Sunday (December 9/10), sixty-one participants will descend on Rochester to attend professional development workshops and free portfolio reviews held in the Magic Spell Studios at RIT.

The NTID Visual Communications Studies department is sponsoring this year's event for logistics support for the weekend filled with professional development. A published exhibition catalog produced by the NTID Visual Communications Studies Department is provided to participants for free. Fujifilm mails copies to curators, editors, writers, and other decision-makers in the photographic community. The goal is to allow those individuals regarded as gatekeepers to experience the work of the next generation, still trying to break through after graduating.

Eric Kunsman, Assistant Professor of Visual Communications Studies at NTID, founded the concept for this event and teamed up with Float Magazine, The Real Photo Show, and Fujifilm, which all sponsor various aspects of the event. Through their sponsorship, every part of this event is free to those who recently graduated from lens-based programs worldwide. The NTID Visual Communications Studies department is sponsoring this year's event for logistics support for the weekend filled with professional development. Eric has assembled a team of contemporary photographers, including Alanna Airitam, Dana Stirling, Michael Chovan-Dalton, and Yoav Friedlander.

The goal is to create a free international juried exhibition, and to create a cohort rather than a competition. Fujifilm donates a Fujifilm GFX 100s camera kit given away during the professional development workshops. Victor Ha from Fujifilm picks a random winner out of a hat that contains the names of everyone in the exhibition.

"This is a 100% FREE opportunity to ensure all students have access to this call for entry, publication, & exhibition. There is NO fee for any portion, even after acceptance, including for the book and exhibition prints. Removing the financial barrier allows us to create a diverse cohort, creating a wide array of work and backgrounds worldwide."
