Women in Technology

WIT hosts regular meetings that are open to all students. These sessions include opportunities to connect, plan for upcoming events and projects, and enjoy social activities to get to know each other. Join on CampusGroups and follow on Instagram to learn more about upcoming events.

Women in Technology welcomes all students. All members enjoy the benefits of community and support through participation in meetings, events, and opportunities to succeed. WIT’s tiered membership status of General Member and Active Member allows for participants to be honored for their contributions to our community. Any attendant of a WIT Meeting, Event, or Volunteer Opportunity is considered a General Member. To gain the status of Active Membership, participants attend over half of all meetings and volunteer for at least one outreach event or special program. Active Members are eligible for priority enrollment in events with limited capacity, voting rights for the Student E-Board, and exclusive branded items.

WIT is dedicated to fostering success and providing mentorship for the next generation of women in STEM. By participating in Open House events, Brick City Weekend, and Imagine RIT, we support the greater Rochester community and prospective student recruitment to RIT. We have partnered with local Rochester schools to bring K-12 students to RIT, where they get opportunities to learn about educational and career pathways in engineering technology.

Women in Technology is led by the Student Executive Board, a group of dedicated students elected to their positions by their peers.
