Flexographic Printing Stickers

Location

James E. Booth Hall - A610

This exhibit will print stickers to give away using a high speed commercial Flexographic (Flexo) printing press. Very few universities have a commercial Flexo printer like this. Flexographic printing is an exciting process that is fun to watch. Flexo printing is like a high speed version of rubber stamping. It is widely used in the printing and packaging industries. Flexo printing is a high speed, roll to roll, web based printing process. It is commonly used to print things like folding cartons and corrugated packaging. Some examples of items printed with Flexographic printing are gift wrap, tissue paper, napkins, shopping bags, envelopes, ice cream cartons, and disposable plates and cups. This exhibit will demonstrate the RIT flexographic printing press and make stickers/labels to give away.
