Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to Rochester Institute of Technology and New Faculty Orientation (NFO)! You are joining a wonderful community of outstanding and accomplished faculty. Your arrival will continue to strengthen our departments and colleges and contribute to continuing and new initiatives.  This is an exciting time to be joining RIT’s community! NFO is just one of the many ways that RIT invests in the success of its faculty at all stages of their career. 

The Faculty Career Development (FCD) team in the Office of Faculty Affairs has coordinated an exciting NFO for you that will help you “hit the ground running.”  NFO will introduce you to critical information, resources, and support areas that are critical for your success. Our unique NFO will be offered Wednesday, August 14 and Thursday, August 15, 2024. New faculty will receive a special invitation to join our Orientation. In the meantime, view the schedule of activities here.  In addition, we have designed additional programming to be continued throughout the academic year that will provide you with opportunities to network with your new colleagues.

As we continue to develop in our roles as educators and scholars, I expect this year to be filled with discovery, achievements, collegiality, fulfillment, and hopefully some fun!
