University News talks about today's media climate

The changing media world means fewer reporters across traditional, new and emerging platforms. RIT University News Services navigates the competitive media climate for faculty and places RIT news in local, national and international outlets.

University News staff will talk about the role of RIT’s news office and best practices for obtaining publicity from 3 to 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 21 in the Student Alumni Union, in the 1829 Room. Faculty from COMMENT, or Communication and Outreach through Mentored Media Engagement and Networking Teams, will share their experiences.

The event is co-hosted by the Faculty Career Development Services in The Wallace Center, with support from the ADVANCE Connect Grant.

To register for the event, go to the RIT Libraries: Events Calender webpage. Deadline for registration is 5 p.m. Sept. 18.
