Walk The Moon highlights SpringFest 2016
Fun in the sun planned with free food, movies, giveaways and games
Spring is definitely in the air, and with that comes a decades-old tradition on the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology: SpringFest.
Free food, movies, a carnival, puppies and new wave/rock band Walk the Moon performs during the event, which starts Thursday evening with a barbecue and ends Sunday morning with breakfast and cartoons.
“SpringFest is all about the campus coming together for a weekend of fun,” said Angelena Russo, director of the College Activities Board, which sponsors and runs the event. “We have a wide array of events so hopefully everyone can come together and socialize.”
Giveaways – tank tops, mason jar tumblers and sunglasses – will be given away at some of the events, Russo said.
Walk The Moon performs at 8 p.m. Saturday at RIT’s Gene Polisseni Center.
Tickets for general seating are $15 for students, $25 for faculty and staff, and $30 for the general public. Add $5 per ticket for floor seating. Tickets are available at the RIT Box Office or online at RITtickets.com.
