Financial Aid
Your RIT and federal financial aid is likely to apply to this program as long as you maintain full time student status (12 credit hours) while studying abroad at RIT Dubai. If you are maintaing half time status while abroad (6 credit hours), you may be eligible to use your federal financial aid.
Once you receive a budget worksheet for studying abroad at RIT Dubai, you must make an appointment with your financial aid advisor to go over the costs and how your financial aid will be applied. It is important you meet with RIT Financial Aid PRIOR to the application deadline so that when acceptance decisions are made, you already know if you have appropriate finances available.
Scholarships
Scholarship deadlines tend to be early so apply for scholarships early in your study abroad application process!
RIT Education Abroad Travel Grants - Guaranteed $750 scholarships for high need students
To support study abroad on RIT Global Campus, RIT Global is offering a guaranteed $750 scholarship to all qualifying students who spend the fall or spring semester studying abroad at one of RIT’s Global Campuses. In order to qualify, students must have a demonstrated level of high financial need, as determined by their FAFSA and the RIT Financial Aid Office. There is no separate application required – eligible students will be automatically awarded this funding once they have completed an application in the RIT Compass. Once the student confirms their participation, the funds will be credited to the students’ eServices account. If a student withdraws from the program, the funds will be rescinded.
