David C. Munson Jr., who will follow retiring RIT President Bill Destler, received a standing ovation when he was introduced to the community in the Gordon Field House on Wednesday. Students, faculty and staff say they are excited to meet and work with the new president. -

David C. Munson Jr. named RIT’s 10th president
David C. Munson Jr. was introduced to the community today as Rochester Institute of Technology’s 10th president. Munson, who will assume RIT’s top post July 1, was introduced by RIT Board Chair Christine Whitman at a community-wide event this morning in the Gordon Field House. -

The Dyer Arts Center hosts “(Re)Invention,” a traveling exhibition from the Kennedy Center; an exhibit with works from the personal collections of faculty artists from RIT/NTID’s Visual Communication Studies Department; and an exhibit on “Shakespeare in American Deaf History.” -

RIT launches MicroMasters program in cybersecurity
Starting in March, learners can begin the RIT Cybersecurity MicroMasters program with edX, the leading nonprofit online learning destination. Upon completing the five-part program, learners can apply to RIT and may be awarded nine credit hours toward their degree requirements.
