Alfred Wardle
"Alfred Wardle (1933-2013) was born in Englewood, New Jersey. He was a silversmith and jeweler based in New York. He graduated from RIT in 1956, where he learned his trade under the teachings of Hans Christensen and John Prip in the School of American Crafts. In the 1950's his work was featured both in New York City's Museum of Modern Art, and the Smithsonian Institute as a part of the Young American Craft exhibit. He went on to be a professor at various institutions across the East coast, most notably his tenure at the Munson Williams Proctor Institute, an extension of the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He has lead a substantial legacy in sharing his knowledge with generations upon generations of metalworkers."
