Carl Hawley

Carl Hawley (1873-1945) was a portrait artist, illustrator, and muralist. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1894 from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. and was hired as a fine arts instructor and later became Associate and Full professor at SU. Hawley directed the Heart Lake Summer School of Art in Heart Lake, PA for several years
