Carl Max Schultheiss

German-born artist Carl Schultheiss (1885-1961) was best known for his etching skills, but also worked as a painter, illustrator, and engraver. He came to the United States in the 1930s, and eventually served as honorary president of the Society of American Graphic Artists. His work often depicted landscapes, rivers, and figures.
