Dr. Carl Schleusing

Dr. Carl Schleusing (1865-1953) came to the U.S. in 1923. He lived in New Jersey and taught at the Newark Academy of Art. Prior to emigrating, he had served as court painter in Germany, where he completed portraits of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria.
