Frederick Meyer
Called RIT's “renaissance man” by one of his colleagues, Fred Meyer (1922-1986) was on the faculty at RIT for 35 years. His initial appointment in 1950 was with the School for American Craftsmen, and he later served as assistant to the dean for graduate affairs. In addition to painting, sculpting, and illustrating, Meyer was also known as an author, playwright, cinematographer, and art historian.
