Jacob Landau
Jacob Landau (1917-2001) studied at the Philadelphia College of Art, where he earned a certificate in 1938. He had a career in teaching, primarily as an instructor at Pratt Institute. He earned fellowships at Tamarind Lithography Workshop and the Guggenheim Foundation. Landau's preferred media was watercolors, wood, and lithography, with themes of social commentaries. His prints can be found in the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art collections.
