Rudolph Ruzicka
Czech-born artist Rudolf Ruzicka (1883-1978) was an American Wood engraver, etcher, illustrator, typeface designer, and book designer. He was a designer and consultant to the Mergenthaler Linotype Company for 50 years. Ruzicka designed a number of seals and medals including the medal for the American Institute of Graphic Arts. His art is collected today in the Art Institute of Chicago, the Carnegie Institute, Library of Congress, and the MET.
