Stanley Gordon

Local artist Stanley Gordon is known for his portraits of the great as well as Rochester personalities. A portrait of Jimmy Carter resides in Carter's library in Atlanta, while RIT owns three presidential portraits by Gordon. He sketched soldiers during World War II, then returned home to practice his craft and teach. His most famous work, a portrait of Jesus Christ, has been widely reproduced.
