Tom Kekic
Thomas Kekic (1943-1986) glass artist and teacher attended Kent State University and earned a Masters in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute. In the 1970s, he helped develop and was head of the glass department at RITs School for American Craftsmen. He participated in the renowned traveling 1973 exhibition "American Glass Now," which was shown at the Renwick Gallery, the Toledo Museum of Art, and the American Crafts Council, among other venues. Kekic's unique process of forming two off-hand blown parts and then joining them into one form and applying additional decorative elements got him, at age 28, an invite to participate in "American Glass Now."
He was owner and operator of Bristol Glassworks in Canandaigua, New York.
