William Keyser
William Keyser (1936- ), woodworker and furniture designer has created many artworks for the RIT campus. Keyser earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1958, and in 1961 a MFA in furniture design from Rochester Institute of Technology. He began teaching in RIT’s School for American Crafts the following year and taught for 35 years. After retiring, he earned another MFA in painting and sculpture. His work can be found in many businesses, churches, universities, and homes throughout Western New York.
