Mt. Hope Cemetery Historical Tour

For 85 years, Mount Hope Cemetery has been a treasure for the Rochester community. This foundational tour will consist of a 90-minute walk over approximately one mile, on both paved roads and uneven terrain. You will be able to visit the final resting places of the historic figures Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass. The tour will also include topics of local history, horticulture, geology, architecture, and symbolism.

Transportation will not be provided for this event. Please meet the tour guide at the North Gatehouse Entrance on 791 Mount Hope Avenue, Rochester, New York 14620.

Please Note: Tours are not always kept to paved paths. With the degree of physical difficulty, we recommend comfortable walking shoes, no open toe shoes. The group will include up to 60 people, split between two guides.
