Bio
Lynn recently joined the GCIS advising team and works with undergraduate students in the Computing Security program. Prior to this position, she spent 11 years at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia as the academic advisor for the School of Music. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and a Master’s degree in Higher Education both from George Mason University. At Mason, she was an active participant in the university community serving as both a member and co-chair of the Mason Academic Advisor Network, as well as the Alumni Board of the College of Visual and Performing Arts. In 2015, Lynn was awarded the highest achievement that Mason offers its advisors when she was voted Academic Advisor of the Year for the university. Her professional interests include increasing diversity and accessibility in higher education.
Outside of work Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband Tim and daughter Ada, frequenting the public market and boating in the Adirondacks on Cranberry Lake. She is excited to be back in her hometown of Rochester, New York and looking forward to getting involved in the RIT community.
