National Council - Arthur Deane

Arthur Deane is the Chief Information Security Officer at Amazon Health. He was previously the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer of the Card business at Capital One. He is a seasoned information security professional with over 15 years of experience building security programs and teams at multiple global organizations. Prior to Capital One, Arthur held security leadership roles at Google, Amazon, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as security engineering roles at various U.S. Government agencies.

Arthur is an Adjunct Professor at American University and a member of the Computer Science Advisory Board at Howard University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and a master’s degree in information security from the University of Maryland. Arthur holds numerous industry certifications and is also the author of CCSP for Dummies and co-author of The Official (ISC)2 CISSP CBK Reference, 6th Edition."
