Steve Frank BS ’04 is the interim chief information security officer (CISO) for Kaiser Permanente (KP), one of America’s leading health care providers and not-for-profit health plans. Founded in 1945, Kaiser Permanente has a mission to provide affordable health care services and to improve the health of its members and the communities it serves. As CISO, Steve helps guide the strategic development of KP's cybersecurity, privacy, and IT programs. Steve is also the executive director for KP's Cyber Risk Defense Center (CRDC) which protects KP's digital ecosystem though activities such as cyber threat detection, incident response, forensics, hunt operations, countermeasures development, intelligence, analytics, eDiscovery and infrastructure operations. Steve joined Kaiser Permanente in 2021 after completing fifteen years of federal service supporting the defense community. Steve is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
