A team of students from RIT’s College of Art and Design and Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences was honored for its video game project at the Massachusetts Digital Games Institute (MassDiGI) Game Challenge 2021

The students are creating the noir horror game “The Camera That Bleeds” as part of the MAGIC Maker program. It was recognized by MassDigI with the People’s Choice award and winning the College and University category.

In the game, players use an enchanted camera to photograph monsters who are only visible in the images. Players search for clues by exploring crime scenes, taking photos of evidence and uncovering invisible secrets using their cursed camera.

The art and development team consists of Game Design and Development majors Mark Lipina, Davis Snider and Arthur Tisseront, 3D Digital Design majors Eric Burby, Tae Won Chung, Jacob Irizarry, Leah Tyler and Ryan Welsh and Animation majors Victoria Lofaro and Michal Zadok.
