Mr. Josip Spajić from Megatrend Poslovna Rješenja as a guest speaker at the Zagreb campus

The IT guest lecture series at our Zagreb campus is continuing with the guest lecture by Mr. Josip Spajić from Megatrend Poslovna Rješenja.

When: Wednesday, October 25th at 3.30-4.30pm (Lab 3).

Lecture Topic: Data Warehouse.

Through the lecture, Mr. Spajić will cover the following areas: data warehouses, purpose of data warehouses in practice and the main difference between classic databases and data warehouses. Also, he will provide students with a demonstration of fictive reports (that serve to show how data warehouses can be used in business for different annual reports). The reports Mr. Spajić will show are made by using two basic tools: IBM Cognos Report Studio tool and Microsoft Power BI tool.

About the guest lecturer:

Mr. Spajić graduated from FER with a major in Telecommunication. He started working for Megatrend Poslovna Riješenja as a student and got full time position upon his graduation. At the moment he is holding a position of Junior BI consultant and is responsible for communicating with clients, preparing and creating reports from the data warehouse based on the clients' needs.
