1. Get cozy at the newly renovated Beanz.
Head over to Grace Watson Hall lobby, which has been completely renovated, along with our beloved coffee shop, Beanz. There’s more seating, new ordering kiosks, a larger pick-up area, and new menu items to try. Try our new dark roast, Tiger Blend, crafted by local roaster Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters. Grab some breakfast on your way to class or fuel up mid-day with a USB smoothie for a study break. We still have all your favorite coffee blends, sandwiches, and smoothies.
2. All-you-care-to-eat…say less.
Chef de cuisine Stacy Krebbeks and his team of culinary chefs at Gracie’s have put together a new menu filled with variety – BBQ, brick oven pizzas, crafted vegan entrees, and more. The unique thing about Gracie’s is that is has Simply Eats, an allergen-friendly station that eliminates nine common allergies (wheat, gluten, eggs, fish, shellfish, milk, peanuts, tree nuts [except coconut], and sesame). We’ll also be open until 10 p.m. during the week and have a killer brunch on the weekends.

3. Beep beep – is that RIT Dining’s very own food truck?
It sure is. The RIT Dining food truck will be serving a variety of gourmet burgers, with the option to make any burger vegetarian. We’ve even worked with our local partner, Palmer Food Services, to make a special beef blend of Certified Angus Beef® of chuck, sirloin, and brisket. Find the RIT Dining food truck in our line-up of food trucks we bring on the weekends this fall by checking our Dining website.
4. We’re adding more plant-based menu options throughout campus.
We’ve been listening! We have signed the “Forward Food Pledge,” and made a commitment to offer 50% plant-based meals by the end of 2025. Our entire team of chefs received training and recipe-tested several plant-based entrees, sides, and desserts – so make sure you look for the vegetarian and vegan icons on our menus to try something new!

5. Loaded Latke is going to be all the craze.
We’re so excited to expand our food options. We have added a new restaurant, Loaded Latke,
under the supervision of the STAR-K Kosher Certification. This New York-style deli serves traditional Jewish foods like hand-crafted sandwiches with premium meats, house-made bagel chips, matzo ball soup, potato salad, and of course…latkes.
6. We’ve added more meal plan options.
Our meal plans are designed to be flexible, affordable, and convenient. If you have a meal plan, it is either made up of just Dining Dollars, or Dining Dollars and Gracie’s Meals, which equate to 3-5 meals per week at Gracie’s.
Be sure to track your Dining Dollars at Tiger Spend because effective May 2024, Dining Dollar balances will be capped at $1,000 that you’re allowed to rollover into the following academic year. Use this budget tracker to help you budget your funds.
7. Mediterranean, Asian, and Indian cuisines… oh MY!
The Cantina and Grille in Global Village is home to the beloved Salsarita’s. Don’t forget the queso with my chips, please. But what you might not know is our chef, Hellen Saroinsong-Bitetti, has been on a quest to bring authentic international cuisines to our Global Grille station. This year, we’ll be rotating between Mediterranean, Asian (noodle bowls), and Indian cuisines. Check our website to know when each cuisine will be offered or just stop by if you’re feeling adventurous.

8. Experience our events – we bring the food, you bring your squad.
We love to have fun and explore different kinds of cuisines through special meals and events. The best way to find out about our events is to follow us on social @ritdining on Instagram or Facebook or check our Dining website. Bring your friends and an appetite.
9. Order your food online or from kiosks.
Skip the line and order online starting Tuesday, Aug. 29. Grab a bite when it’s convenient for you without the wait. You can also place your food order at one of our new kiosks at Beanz, The College Grind, and The Commons.
10. Same Midnight Oil, a lot more space.
After exploring how to make Midnight Oil
more accessible, we’ve rearranged one of your favorite coffee shops with additional seating and expanded the counter to accommodate for order pick-up. Next time you place an order online, head straight back to the end of the counter.

11. The Corner Store is now home to the Fredericka Douglass Sprague Perry Hall.
The university renamed Nathaniel Rochester Hall to Fredericka-Douglass Sprague Perry (DSP),
a former student, philanthropist, and pioneer in Black children’s welfare. Next time you’re looking up what you can find in DSP, stop by The Corner Store for toiletries, snacks, or groceries.
12. Stop by a self-check-out market in James Booth Hall and Frank Gannett Hall.
We have additional self-check-out markets this fall, located at the entrance of Frank Gannett Hall and in James Booth Hall. We’ll be opening a fourth location in Saunders College of Business within the academic year. Get a quick snack or beverage in between classes or during your next late-night study session.
