Call for Spring Teaching Circle Proposals

A teaching circle is a small group of faculty and teaching staff who come together for one term to discuss a teaching and learning topic that they can delve deeply into over several sessions. Facilitators may offer their circle in an on-campus space, via Zoom, or a combination. 

Proposals due by January 2, 2024. Applicants will be notified on a rolling basis.

Academic Technology Tutorials

The CTL has many step-by-step instructional guides for both basic and advanced uses of the variety of academic technologies supported by RIT. These tutorials are available in the RIT Service Center's self-service knowledge base:

1. In your browser, access the CTL Knowledge Base and log in with your RIT account.
2. Use the search box at the top of the page to find resources by keywords.
3. Use the Categories in the left side navigation to find resources by topic area.

myCourses Synchronously Timed Quizzes

As of September 2023, myCourses has the ability to run a synchronously timed quiz where the timer starts at the same time for all students. The quiz ends when the timer has lapsed, regardless of any action taken by the student, therefore, ending at the same time for all students.

We are pleased to announce that the vendor has met the long standing request for an option to have a hard stop time on a quiz.
