Welcome, Tigers!
We are eagerly awaiting your arrival on campus this fall and are excited to welcome you to our Tiger family!
We will be sharing a lot of important information with you this summer, so please set up your RIT computer account and email as soon as possible if you have not done so already, and begin checking your email inbox often. For more information about how to set up your RIT account, check out the Account Set Up section of our New Student Checklist.
As you prepare for your arrival on campus, be sure to check the Orientation website frequently, as well. The website serves as a central information hub, containing your new student checklist, links to past communications, a link to your virtual orientation experience, and much more!
As students ourselves, we understand that you are likely feeling excited but perhaps a bit anxious, as well. We want to assure you that our team is here to help you this summer as you prepare to launch this exciting new chapter. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to our team. We can’t wait to connect with you!
One of our favorite aspects of the on-campus New Student Orientation experience is the relationship built between new Tigers and their Orientation Leader (OL). When you arrive on campus, you will be assigned an OL who will serve as your mentor. Your OL will guide you through New Student Orientation, ensuring that you have all of the information necessary to successfully launch your RIT journey. By the end of Orientation, you will have made new friends with other new Tigers in your group, learned RIT’s quirky lingo, figured out the best places to go for your favorite foods, and hopefully learned some American Sign Language through our No Voice Zone program.
We are so excited to welcome you to RIT and are thrilled that you are joining our Tiger family.
Sincerely,
Your Student Orientation Coordinators
