New Student Newsletter

At RIT, community is not just a word but a way of life. We believe that every individual has something valuable to contribute. Explore the following on and off-campus opportunities to find fellow graduate students who share similar passions, get together to explore joint interests, and connect with others to make a difference collectively.

These possibilities are just a fraction of what RIT offers, but we hope this preview inspires you to explore the many opportunities.

Student Clubs and Organizations

Graduate Student Groups
Our graduate student community offers numerous opportunities for professional development, social engagement, and academic support. As a new student, you can become part of enriching groups like Women in Graduate School (WIGS), the Doctoral Student Association (DSA), and Tigertales Toastmasters. These groups provide a supportive environment for networking, skill-building, and personal growth. Visit the links to learn more and get involved!

Student Government
Student Government represents the interests of the student body by providing student-focused programs and advocating for student needs. The Graduate Senator represents the graduate student constituency, providing an invaluable opportunity for a graduate student to serve their community while simultaneously gaining essential leadership skills.
