Video Recap: Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend

RIT celebrated Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend Oct. 13-15, 2023. The weekend's events included appearances by internet icon Hank Green and former Saturday Night Live cast member Melissa Villaseñor, a men's hockey victory over Notre Dame, a women's hockey sweep of Union, performing arts shows, a 55th anniversary celebration for RIT's National Technical Institute for the Deaf, tours of the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED), and a variety of family and alumni activities.

New site celebrates Pulitzer Prize legacy of alumni

Rochester Institute of Technology photojournalism alumni have a notable history of documenting some of the most extraordinary and memorable moments, events and stories the world has seen. Graduates, as visual journalists and editors, have made a gargantuan impact on documenting countless important moments in history. Among the many ways their journalistic excellence has been recognized is with the Pulitzer Prize, the most prestigious award for achievements in newspaper, magazine and online journalism, literature and musical composition in the U.S.

Transforming RIT: The Campaign for Greatness

Nearly 300 people gathered in Rochester last Friday evening at the beginning of Brick City Homecoming and Family Weekend as RIT officials marked the successful conclusion of Transforming RIT: The Campaign for Greatness. University leadership announced during the “Celebration of Our Transformative Donors” gala at the RBW Conference Facility that RIT’s largest-ever fundraising campaign raised $1,059,581,463 to propel the university forward in its pursuits at the intersection of technology, the arts, and design.

Alumni Referral Award Program

Alumni like you play an important role in recruiting future Tigers by recommending RIT to prospective students within your families, communities, and professional networks. And now that role is even more valuable! Did you know? When you refer a prospective student to RIT, that student is eligible for the RIT Alumni Referral Award, a $1,000 per year scholarship renewable for four years. Each alum can refer one undergraduate applicant per year for this award.
