The Herbert W. Vanden Brul Entrepreneurial Award, established in 1984, is presented annually to an individual(s) or business that has improved the economic life of Greater Rochester or whose innovation management skills have changed the course of an existing business.
We are pleased to announce the 2022 Vanden Brul Entrepreneurial Award winner, Susan R. Holliday ’85 (MBA). She led the growth of the Rochester Business Journal for nearly three decades as president, publisher, and owner.
Our first-place winner of the 2022 Herbert W. Vanden Brul Student Entrepreneurial Award is Peter Hogya '22 (computer science).
Congratulations to Pritam Poddar, Ph.D. '22 (engineering) and Harrison Canning '21 (neurotechnology), our second and third place award winners, as we recognize them for this Student Entrepreneurial Award.
These awards were created through an endowment fund established by Mr. Vanden Brul in conjunction with RIT's Saunders College of Business. Students can learn more about the awards and application process for 2023!
