Carson Duffy

I’m Carson Duffy and I’m from Clay, NY which is a suburb of Syracuse and I’m a first year student in the Robotics and Manufacturing Engineering Technology program. I chose Robotics because I enjoy playing with robots and figuring out how they work. I took a course in high school called Automation and Robotics and worked with Vex and Robot C, I absolutely loved the class and brought that into my college experience.

I am hoping SD-CoMETS will help me find ways to get through my courses and how to study and prepare me for my future career. My goal throughout my college career is to learn as much as I can about all kinds or robotics and coding. Something I would love to do as a career is to work on assembly lines for electric cars (possibly Tesla). Back in high school I was in tech crew and did the lighting design and programming for our plays, musicals and any other random events and am planning on joining the technical production for theatre here at RIT.

I play guitar here and there and enjoy biking, longboarding and snowboarding. Having a longboard on campus has already saved me from being late to class multiple times.
