Bio
Dr. James Lee joined RIT in 2007 and serves as the Department Chair for the Electrical, Computer, and Telecommunications Engineering Technology Department and the Faculty Associate for Scholarship Advancement (FASA) for the College of Engineering Technology. He has been awarded five patents related to fuel cell technology and his work has been featured in several international, peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of Energy and Power Engineering, and the International Journal of Engineering Sciences & Research Technology. Dr. Lee held senior research positions at General Motors and the Golisano Institute for Sustainability before working in the College of Engineering Technology at RIT.

RIT partners with industry experts on new curriculum in electronics design and manufacturing
EMA Design Automation, Cadence Design Systems Inc., and RIT are collaborating to provide college-level printed circuit board (PCB) design courses for students in RIT’s College of Engineering Technology. Taught both online and in-person by PCB design industry experts, the courses can provide engineers with training and development opportunities in key areas of electronics design and manufacturing.

Micatu Inc. donates high-tech optical sensors for campus microgrid
Micatu Inc. donated its groundbreaking Gridview optical sensors to RIT for a new campus learning lab. The equipment allows faculty and students to monitor renewable integration and manage the addition of distributed energy resources onto the campus microgrid.
