O’Brien presents on aerosolized medicine delivery

Jordana O’Brien, a mathematical modeling Ph.D. student, presented “A Mathematical Model of Particle Deposition in the Human Lung” on Oct. 1 as part of the Early Career Researchers in Mathematical Biology and Differential Equations Session at the 2023 Association for Women in Mathematics Research Symposium held at Clark Atlanta University. O’Brien, working with Kara Maki, associate professor of mathematics, and Jennifer O’Neil, assistant professor of mechanical engineering technology, focuses on developing mathematical models to predict aerosolized drug delivery in pediatric patients.
