SD-CoMETS Scholars - Alyssa Cisneros

Alyssa Cisneros headshot

My name is Alyssa Cisneros and I'm from Cranford, New Jersey. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I chose Engineering Technology in hopes of having more hands-on experiences with the equipment, machines, and technologies that I may encounter later in my career. In general, I aspire to become an engineer that builds robots, which could either entertain– like animatronics in Disney or Orlando Studios –or educate– such as hyper realistic animal and medical robots that can help teach students about various subjects.

I think being an SD-CoMETs scholar will benefit my RIT career by supporting me as a student, giving me a community of people I can count on for help, and opening my eyes to greater opportunities for my young career.

Some fast facts about me: I am a fraternal twin, I love birds and wish I could have a white call duck! I draw and play the piano/flute, and I am a cartoon/animation enthusiast with Infinity Train and How to Train Your Dragon at the top of my list.
