Beyond Addiction: Reframing Recovery
RIT City Art Space’s upcoming exhibition, “Beyond Addiction: Reframing Recovery,” focuses on images and stories highlighting those who have overcome struggles with addiction. It aims to spark dialogue and hope for those still defining their recovery path.
Curated by the husband-wife team of photographer Graham MacIndoe and journalist Susan Stellin, the exhibit features artists from around the world who have documented stories of addiction and recovery. Josh Meltzer, assistant professor of photojournalism, and several photojournalism students have images in the exhibition.
“Beyond Addiction: Reframing Recovery” is on view from Nov. 5 to Feb. 21. In celebration of First Friday and the opening of the show, City Art Space will have extended hours (1-7 p.m.) Friday, Nov. 6.
