The talk will provide findings on the gender gap across a dozen key leadership positions in local government as well as an overview of the broader data initiative Dr. Lee leads at CivicPulse.
Nathan R. Lee joined the Department of Public Policy at RIT in fall 2020. Originally trained as an engineer, Lee has diverse professional experiences in federal, state, and local government. He is also the founder and managing director of CivicPulse (civicpulse.org), a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable, multi-collaborator surveys of local government officials in the United States. He received a PhD in Political Science from Stanford University, a Master in Technology and Policy from MIT, and a Bachelor in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
