Tea at 3: Virtual Chaplain Drop-in Hours

Drop into a Zoom meeting to talk to a chaplain in Spirituality & Religious Life. Chaplains are great listeners and we are here to support you. And you might learn a little about tea! Available every Tuesday & Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

What is a chaplain?
A chaplain is someone with advanced training in religion, theology, or spirituality and pastoral/spiritual care who works in an institution such as a college or university, hospital, prison, or the military. In essence, chaplains are trained to listen, care, and have deep conversations about difficult topics in places where people are often stressed or distressed.

Do I need to be religious or spiritual to talk to a chaplain?
NO. Chaplains are trained to have deep conversations about the meaning of life, our purpose in the world, personal values and relationships, ethical dilemmas, and many other common human problems, regardless of whether you think of these things spiritually, religiously, or secularly.

Who are the chaplains at RIT?
