Event Image

In this interactive dialogue, we will discuss the cultural and material artifacts produced in Hip Hop music on the West Coast. We will highlight prominent rappers, watch music videos, and share lyrics that represent their realities as members of a marginalized group living within the intersections of race, class, and gender in the U.S. With Hip Hop at the center of analysis, we will also discuss the research methods that can be used with communities of color.
