Bio
Pat started working at RIT in August 2005 as Associate Director of Institute Audit, Compliance & Advisement. He previously served 10 years as Internal Audit Manager at the University of Rochester's Office of University Audit. Pat is a Certified Public Accountant who began his career working for two Rochester-based CPA firms and is a 1990 graduate of RIT's Saunders College of Business, with a B.S. degree in Accounting.
Pat's higher education audit experience has allowed him to perform a variety of different audits and he specializes in construction cost audits and fraud investigations. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Construction Auditor.
Pat served the internal audit profession at the local level as a sixteen year volunteer member of the Board of Governors of the Rochester Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. His other professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Association of College and University Auditors and the National Association of Construction Auditors. He is a member of the Planning Board and a former elected councilperson for sixteen years in his hometown, Clarkson.
