Hardin and students publish research on ableism in engineering education

Jessica Hardin, associate professor in the Department of Anthropology, and five liberal arts students, Anna Carter, Lee Smith, Pema Lama, Anna Pasquantonio, and Makenna Hakim, published their research in Anthropology & Education Quarterly. The article, titled "Perpetuating Ableism in Engineering Education: The Role of User Abstraction and Expertise Hierarchies in the Design Process," is based on ethnographic research supported by the College of Liberal Arts and AdvanceRIT.
