Ph.D. student publishes article on finding research groups

Mike Verostek, a Ph.D. student in the School of Physics and Astronomy, published an article in Physics Magazine on physics Ph.D. students’ perspectives regarding the importance and difficulty of finding a research group. “Alleviating the Stress of Finding a Ph.D. Advisor,” which argues for more systematic processes to help students navigate the transition into graduate education, was published alongside College of Science faculty members Ben Zwickl, associate professor, and Casey Miller, senior associate dean for Research and Faculty Affairs.
