Westward Bound to Back East: Lorrie Frear is back!

Lorrie Frear served as Designer in Residence in the Graphic Design Program at California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, California during her Faculty Development Leave in Winter Quarter. During the leave, Lorrie co-taught a Typography I course with Associate Professor Katie McCormick of Cal Poly, and she led a series of lettering workshops for architecture, design and print media students there. While on her leave from RIT, Lorrie visited several Design Programs in California and did research at the San Francisco Public Library Harrison Collection and the Getty Research Center. She also fit in some sight-seeing, boogie boarding, cycling and hiking to be sure she got the whole California experience. Now she’s ready to go for spring quarter!
