Vicki Loner has nearly 30 years of dedicated experience as an executive leader, registered nurse, and certified healthcare administrator. Her expertise includes clinical nursing, case management, quality improvement, managed care, and accountable care organization (ACO) healthcare operations. Throughout her career, she played an integral role in the implementation of major health plan and payment innovations and reforms in Vermont and New Hampshire in the private and public sectors.
Ms. Loner currently works at Health Management Associates (HMA) as a Principal providing health care consulting services to providers, payers, and states around value based care. Prior to joining HMA, Ms. Loner served in executive leadership positions at OneCare Vermont, culminating in her role as senior vice president and chief executive officer. She led a diverse team responsible for supporting various aspects of value-based care contracts spanning managed Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial programs. She managed an annual budget of $48 million and oversaw a total cost of care accountability of $1.4 billion in Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance risk based ACO payer programs.
Ms. Loner earned her master’s degree in health care delivery science from Dartmouth College and her bachelor’s degree in health care administration and nursing from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is certified in professional utilization review, managed care nursing, case management, case manager, and health systems administration. She currently sits on the board of the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health Advisory Committee.
Ms. Loner resides in Hinesburgh, VT, with her husband, Mike, 17 yr. old daughter Alexandria, dog Ellie, chickens and 3 goats. Her family owns a small 4-bedroom Inn. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, Orange Theory, and watching her daughter’s soccer games.
