James Perkins receives prestigious Brödel Award at AMI Conference

James Perkins, renowned faculty member at Rochester Institute of Technology’s College of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST), has been honored with the prestigious Brödel Award for Excellence in Education by the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI). This distinguished award was presented during the AMI annual conference held in Rochester, celebrating Perkins’ exceptional contributions to the field of medical illustration education.

The Brödel Award, named after Max Brödel who founded the first training program for medical artists at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1911, is a significant accolade recognizing outstanding educational achievements in medical illustration. According to the AMI, the award honors individuals who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to advancing the profession through education.
