Oliphant gives talk on global medical missions

John Oliphant, director of the new global public health program and an associate professor in the physician assistant program, was invited by the Yale University online PA program and PAs for Global Health to deliver the presentation, “Short-term Medical Missions Done Well: What Every Volunteer Needs to Know,” on Dec. 4. His talk emphasized the importance of working with local host providers who will oversee the visiting team and the importance of working with the host country’s Ministry of Health.
