The Institute of Movement Studies and Visual Impairment & Deafblindness Lab (IMSVID) conducts research, develops curricula, and works directly with individuals across the lifespan with visual impairment and deafblindness on their motor skill development promoting physical activity and motor competence to improve health related quality-of-life, for individuals with and without visual impairments, blindness, and deafblindness. We examine developmental paths and promote physically active lifestyles through movement assessment, interventions, and the development of assistive technology.
