Efe Kababulut
Efe’s interest in design started at a young age. He was born and raised into a family of furniture manufacturers, spending most of his youth in his family’s factories. To further his interests and knowledge in design, the 4th-generation carpenter studied industrial design at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004. Being fascinated by mid-century modernism and architects such as Arne Jacobsen, Finn Juhl, and Verner Panton, Efe continued his studies in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Returning to New York City, Efe worked at renowned names in the industry and started expanding his century-old family business Lazzoni to the US with a 7000sf showroom in Chelsea in 2009. Today, Lazzoni is offering functional, high-quality, custom-made designs in more than 9 showrooms across the US.
Efe has returned to Istanbul in 2016 and is currently is the Head of Design and a member of the Board of Directors. He was instrumental in the company's designer-built, 7-star hotel, Hotel Lazzoni located in Golden Horn, Istanbul. Efe continues to get involved in various projects between New York, Istanbul and London while actively developing Lazzoni's Design focus growth.
