Henrietta, N.Y. — Thursday's bright spot shines on students at Rochester Institute of Technology.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced students to stay off campus and the cancellation of their graduation ceremony.
So, students created a Minecraft graduation instead.
Using the popular video game, students built a virtual model of their campus, including the Gordon Field House, where graduation would normally take place.
Students are currently decorating it - electronically - and have even customized one of the characters to look like RIT President David Munson.
The game has become a virtual meeting place for students, offering a bright spot of fellowship until they can be together again.
