PEN-International was well represented at the 4th National Asian Deaf Congress Conference 2004, held in Honolulu Hawaii, Aug 4, 2004-8, 2004. PEN-International partnered with the National Asian Deaf Congress and the Deaf of the Pacific Rim in supporting the conference. Each of the more than 250 participants at the conference received detailed information regarding PEN-International's goals and accomplishments in their registration packets. Additionally, the conference program book contained a message of congratulations from PEN-International.
On Thursday, August 5th, PEN-International hosted a continental breakfast for all conference attendees in order to provide an opportunity to meet participants and share the plans and accomplishments of PEN-International in PAC Rim countries. The breakfast was very well attended and provided an excellent opportunity for networking and exchanging ideas on the first program day of the conference.
On Friday, August 6th, E. William Clymer presented PEN-International: Focusing on Deaf Education in the Pacific Rim, coauthored with James DeCaro, director of PEN-International.
