From 16-21 March 2009, Dr. James J. DeCaro, E. William Clymer, and Dr. Eleanor Rosenfield represented PEN-International at the 24th Annual International CSUN (California State University at Northridge) Conference on Technology & Persons with Disabilities in Los Angeles, California. DeCaro, Clymer, and Rosenfield presented a paper, titled, "Captioning & Interpreting for STEM Students Using Cyberinfrastructure: A Recommendation Report." The conference was attended by more than 4,500 educators and disability experts worldwide. The conference is the largest of its kind in the world and is known for "showcasing cutting edge technology and practical solutions that can be utilized to remove the barriers that prevent the full participation of person with disabilities in educational, workplace and social settings." More than 30 people attended this paper session.
